Hurdles or Hurdling is an Olympic 'Track' sport of Athletics in which participants sprint then jump over a series of evenly spaced obstacles known as hurdles. The athletes must remain in their specified lane whilst jumping over each hurdle. Although participants are allowed to knock over their own hurdles, the participants are disqualified if their hands knock down the hurdle or in some cases when the athlete knocks down a hurdle from an adjacent lane.
