Welcome to Merimbula Big Game & Lakes Angling Club (MBGLAC), located in the beautiful coastal town of Merimbula, Australia. Our club is a vibrant and welcoming sports club catering to fishing enthusiasts of all levels.
Every Friday night, starting at 6. 30pm, we invite everyone to visit our clubhouse. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, all are welcome to join us. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow fishing enthusiasts, engage in lively conversations, and enjoy the fishing report and the stunning views of the surrounding area.

One of the highlights of our club is the Monster Raffle. This exciting event takes place on 28 January 2024, and we encourage all our members and supporters to support the raffle by purchasing tickets and volunteering to sell them. With every complete book purchased, thanks to BOSS Outdoors, you will receive a $10 BOSS voucher. You can buy your books at our scheduled sales booths, including the Clubhouse, Woolworths Tura Beach, and ALDI Merimbula.

In addition to our regular activities, we also organise tournaments throughout the year. One upcoming tournament is the Tri-Estuary Challenge, which will take place from 18th to 19th November 2023. This is an exciting opportunity to compete against other anglers and showcase your fishing skills. Please visit our competition page for more information on our tournaments and how to participate.
Furthermore, we hold a Monthly Species Event for our members. For the month of November, the chosen species is Bream. You can submit your entry on any Friday night before 7:00 p. m.
by writing your name and the size of your catch on the whiteboard. Winners will be announced at 7:15 p. m. One entry per angler is allowed, with the option to upgrade your fish size only on a Friday night at the clubroom.
This event aims to encourage our members to go out and target different species, fostering healthy competition and fun fishing experiences.
At MBGLAC, we also provide resources and information for our members. Our website features a Merimbula Lakeview Trophy Board, where you can view and submit your catch. We also provide a weekly fishing report, keeping you informed about the latest fishing conditions and opportunities. Additionally, we offer club hire options for those who need fishing equipment.
