Welcome to Redland Bushwalkers, a sports club based in the beautiful Redlands, just thirty minutes southeast of Brisbane CBD. We are a group of friendly, like-minded individuals who are passionate about enjoying a variety of activities in the great outdoors.
Our club offers a wide range of walks and activities for members to participate in. Whether you enjoy day walks, multi-day through walks, base camps, abseiling, kayaking, cycling, or even social activities, there is something for everyone. We believe in providing well-organised activities that are conducted in a safe and responsible manner by experienced leaders.
If you are interested in joining our club, we welcome you to attend one of our monthly club meetings. These meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month (except December) at 7:00pm for a 7:15pm start. We meet at Cleveland Lions Hall, located at 122 Shore Street North, Cleveland. You can find us on the left-hand side, heading towards Cleveland Point where the Historic Buildings are located.
As a member of Redland Bushwalkers, you will have access to a range of benefits. These include the opportunity to participate in various activities, all of which are suited to your capabilities thanks to our walk grading system. We also provide Personal Accident Insurance and Public Liability Insurance for our members. Our monthly meetings cover topics of interest and include complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks.
Additionally, we keep our members informed with a monthly newsletter that includes updates on upcoming events and reports on past events.
One of the great benefits of being a member of Redland Bushwalkers is the lack of limitations on the number of activities you can participate in. We believe that you should have the opportunity to experience as many outdoor adventures as you desire.
For those looking to develop their leadership skills, we offer a Leader Development Programme. This programme allows you to co-lead activities with an experienced leader until you feel confident leading activities on your own. We believe in fostering leadership skills within our club.
As a member, you may also receive discounts at camping and outdoor stores. Simply inquire if they offer discounts to members of clubs affiliated with Bushwalking Queensland.
We are proud to be supported by the Redland City Council, who has provided funding for our Website Upgrade project through the Community Grants Programme. This support allows us to better serve the Redlands Coast community.
