Founding of the South Australian Clay Target Association (SACTA), clay target shooting has become a popular sport in Murray Bridge and the surrounding areas.
The South Australian Clay Target Association comprises three zones – Eastern, Central, and Western – each with a number of clubs. Annual elections are held within each zone to appoint a committee and members to the State Executive of SACTA. This democratic structure ensures that the interests and needs of the clay target shooting community are represented and addressed.
SACTA is dedicated to promoting the sport of clay target shooting and providing a platform for enthusiasts to come together and enjoy their shared passion. The association organises regular shoots and events, which can be found on their Shoot Calendar. Shooters of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate and compete in these events.
In addition to organising shoots and events, SACTA also strives to educate and inform its members about the rules and regulations of the sport. The association recommends that all members “Play By the Rules,” an initiative that provides resources, tools, and free online training for administrators, coaches, officials, players, parents, and spectators.
SACTA is proud to be supported by a number of sponsors, including Perazzi Australia, Fisher Firearms, Winchester Ammunition, and Pull Bang Enterprises. These sponsors not only help to ensure the success and sustainability of the association, but also provide valuable products and services to clay target shooters.
Those interested in getting involved with clay target shooting in Murray Bridge and the surrounding areas are encouraged to reach out to the South Australian Clay Target Association. Whether you are a seasoned shooter or new to the sport, SACTA offers a welcoming and supportive community where you can improve your skills, compete, and build lasting friendships.
