Welcome to Sprint Force, a sports club located in Sydney that caters primarily to Masters sprinters, but also welcomes athletes who specialise in running the 800m and 1500m distances. Our diverse group of athletes range from teenagers to masters athletes, and we even have beach sprinters and beach flags runners as part of our squad. We are passionate about teaching correct running technique and helping athletes improve their speed and general conditioning to achieve their full potential and ultimately run faster.
Peter Crombie, an accredited Level 4 coach in Sprints and Relays with Athletics Australia, is the founder and head coach of Sprint Force. With 25 years of coaching experience, Peter has a special affinity for coaching Masters athletes and has produced numerous State, National, and World Champions, as well as world record holders. The Sprint Force squad has consistently been the most successful team at the NSW State masters Relay Championships since its inception over 20 years ago.
Our squad competes in a range of local, national, and international meets throughout the year. Local and national meets mostly take place from November to April, while international meets are scheduled during the Australian winter. Some meets we participate in include the Treloar Shield (October-December), the Pan Pac Games (every 2 years in early November on the Gold Coast), the Australian Masters Games (every alternate year to Pan Pacs), the NSW State Relay Championships (mid-November), the NSW Club Championships (early January), the NSW Masters Championships (mid to late February), the Australian Masters Athletics Championships (April, rotating between states), and the World Championships (mostly August/September, every 2 years) and World Indoors Championships (mostly March/April, every 2 years).
