Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym – St Peters is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest climbing gym, offering a world-class experience for climbers of all levels. Located at Unit 4C/1-7 Unwins Bridge Road in St Peters, Sydney, this gym has been the centre of the city's climbing community since 1993.
With a massive 3700m2 of climbing walls, Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym is the only facility in Sydney that offers both top-quality climbing and bouldering. Whether you're a beginner or an elite competition climber, there are routes to suit your skill level. The gym features 420 routes, including 120 lead routes, with climbs ranging from easy to challenging. Fresh routes and boulder problems are set every week, ensuring that there is always something new and exciting to climb.
In addition to its extensive climbing offerings, Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym also provides a range of activities for kids, including caving. The facility has high walls that reach heights of 11–16 metres, and some routes are as long as 25 metres.
The gym has hosted prestigious events, such as the 2008 World Youth Championships, making it a renowned destination for climbers around the world. They also offer services like Kids Club (Stone Monkeys), Tuition including lead climbing courses, and School Holidays Rockcamp.
Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym – St Peters is open from Monday to Thursday from 9:30am to 10pm, Wednesdays from 6am to 10pm, Fridays from 9:30am to 10pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am to 9pm, and on public holidays from 9:30am to 7pm. The facility can be easily accessed by car, with ample parking available in the front and rear carparks. It is also a short walk from St Peters or Sydenham Stations for those using public transport. Nearby bus stops, such as the one on The Princes Hwy near Victoria St, are a convenient option as well.
