UNSW Cricket Club History The University of New South Wales Cricket Club (UNSWCC) has a proud history stretching back into the 1950s and the foundation of the University itself. The Cricket Club began its traditions in the Municipal and Shires competition in 1951. By the late 60s and early 70s, UNSWCC was performing very strongly and won eight premierships and seven Club Championships in only eight seasons.
