Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre

The Warwick Indoor Recreation and Aquatic Centre, also known as WIRAC, is a sports club located in Southern Downs Regional, Queensland. Managed by the YMCA, WIRAC offers a wide range of facilities and programmes to promote family fitness, good health, and affordable aquatic education. Whether you are looking to improve your swimming skills, participate in group fitness classes, or engage in sporting competitions, WIRAC has something for everyone.

At WIRAC, you can access hydrotherapy services, swim in our pool, join group fitness classes (including aqua classes), learn to swim, try out the Rockwall, and even utilise our 24-hour gym. However, it is important to note that bookings are essential for hydrotherapy, group fitness classes, and learn to swim programmes.

In light of the current pandemic, WIRAC follows strict Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of its members and staff. When entering the facility, you must sign in and out, bring a towel and water bottle to the gym, sanitise equipment before and after use, and maintain physical distancing.

Managed by the YMCA, WIRAC is part of a not-for-profit organisation that operates programmes from over 65 sites in South East Queensland. The YMCA of Brisbane, founded in 1864, employs qualified professional staff to maintain high-quality standards in all its services. These services include youth programmes, child care, a wide range of sport and recreational activities, health and fitness, outdoor education and camping, vocational education and accredited training, and even hospitality services.

WIRAC is open 362 days a year, offering ample opportunities for you to engage in fitness activities and enjoy our facilities. However, please note that operating hours are subject to change at WIRAC's discretion, and minor variations may occur during the Christmas and New Year period. The facility is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and Good Friday.
