Established in 1959, WAPA has been at the forefront of target pistol shooting in Western Australia. The association organises various competitions, including Club Championships, State Championships, National Championships, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and even the Olympic Games. This demonstrates the high level of expertise and excellence that WAPA promotes within the sport.
As a member of Pistol Australia (PA), WAPA offers its members the opportunity to participate in 16 different events that cater to all levels of experience. This includes categories specifically designed for athletes with disabilities. PA also provides a pathway for members to compete in international competitions and be selected for prestigious events such as the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.
