Wyong Rugby League Club, established in 1910, is the oldest sports club on the Central Coast of Australia. Its rich history can be traced back to the early 1900s, with its roots in the districts of Dooralong, Wyong, Jilliby, Tuggerah, and Morriset. Originally located at Baker Park in Central Wyong, the club made a significant move in 1971 when it purchased five and three-quarter acres of land on Arizona Road in Kanwal. The club later leased an adjoining thirteen acres and ultimately purchased the entire area.
The main oval, named after visionary Morry Breen, was built, along with an initial clubhouse, over the course of two years. In 1973, the club was granted a full liquor licence, and trading began under the management of Keith Riley.
The club has since evolved into a leading sporting destination on the Central Coast, offering a range of competitions and events. The club hosts various fixtures and results for teams competing in the Presidents Cup, First Cup, Reserve Grade, Open Grade, Under 19, League-Ladies-Tag, and other divisions.
As a testament to its long-standing history, the Wyong Rugby League Club proudly sells merchandise that showcases its rich heritage. Fans and supporters can purchase the latest 2023 gear, including training shorts, backpacks, caps, and zip hoodies. These items are available for purchase at the Wyong Leagues Club reception.
The club also maintains an active social calendar, with various events and activities planned throughout the year. The online calendar provides up-to-date information on upcoming events, ensuring members and supporters are in the know.
