The mind should be calm and focused with a strong fighting spirit to face life’s challenges. If either the mind, body, or energy are out of balance, they will affect the other two.
The Body – our Martial Arts, Self Defence & Kung Fu classes for children & adults on the develop strong, nimble and flexible bodies. Not only will you have the confidence to protect your self and the ones you love, you will gain an athletic body and robust health.
The Mind – the mind controls our choices and how we react to situations. With the right outlook and enough mental tenacity, we can manage challenges with grace & an ease. Tenacity is developed through overcoming your limits to develop your fighting spirit. Our Tai Chi & Meditation classes train you to empty the mind, and focus, rather than wrestling with thoughts.
We simply let them pass until they have receded. The positive effects of this training cannot be over stated. A complicated and emotionally charged world is replaced with a calmer, clearer perspective on everything. The ability to see your choices with clarity, and neutrality, is the path to peace and resolution.
The Energy – a persons energy is often the most misunderstood, yet important factors in the cultivation of health and happiness. Most people only comprehend the body’s energy in the sense of how much energy they have to use during a day. The energy system of the body is absolutely integral to a persons physical and mental health. Low energy levels clearly affect a persons state of mind and ability to perform physical activities.
For example Traditional Chinese Medicine stagnant blood in an injured area of the body can cause pain, discomfort, inhibited energy flows. Blockages can also cause weakness and illness. The body’s energy is finite, so you not only need to allocate it wisely, you need to invest it in a way that will increase it. Through calming and uncluttering the mind, your thoughts become more apparent.
Negative and unproductive thoughts that waste your energy can be clearly identified and removed from your investments. Yang Tsin Su Soft Form, and Tai Chi classes, teach you to: cultivate, purify, and balance your energy, through relaxed and precise movements that promote the energy flow. The more accurate and aligned the movements are, the stronger the energy will flow.
Yang Tsin Su Meditation is a way of cultivating your Chi (internal energy) while in a stationary position. Unlike many other meditation methods, YTS meditation, is based on achieving the greatest benefits to your health and well-being, rather than trying to fulfil a religious or belief based purpose. Yang Tsin Su incorporates Martial Arts, Tai Chi & Meditation to strengthen and balance the body, energy, and mind (spirit). For this reason Yang Tsin Su can be summarised as “the art of good health”.
