Marie Grey thanks you for taking the time to read this note and hopes you will join the fun at Adlington Cricket Club. Nestled in the village, this club has been a part of the community since the 1870s and is devoted to offering cricket to all ages.
A proud member of the Greater Manchester Cricket League, Adlington CC fields two senior teams and a junior section, competing in the Wigan and District League. The club also boasts the Adlington Nomads, a mixed-ability senior team, a dedicated Academy for budding talents, and a Ladies Rounders Team. With such a diverse range of teams, there's something for everyone at Adlington.
You'll find the club’s facilities on Huyton Road, conveniently just off the A6 between Blackrod and Chorley. Adlington Cricket Club is very much about local spirit, offering a fully licenced function room available for events like parties, wakes, business meetings, and more.
Marie Grey and the team are always looking to improve the ground, facilities, and cricket programmes, aiming to create a welcoming environment for everyone. New members are always encouraged to come down for a visit.
For updates on teams, fixtures, training dates, membership, and more, you can check the club’s website. They also welcome sponsorship, whether it’s a one-off or a season-long commitment. Stay in the loop by following Adlington CC on Facebook and Twitter.
Teams include the 1st XI, 2nd XI, Nomads, Academy, Juniors, and the Adlington Ladies Rounders Team. The 1st XI senior team trains every Thursday at 6pm during the season. You can find all results, live scores, tables, and averages on the Greater Manchester Cricket League match centre.
Adlington Cricket Club is proud to be a friendly community hub where everyone can enjoy cricket and good company. Marie Grey describes it as a fantastic place to watch cricket and be part of the community.
