Welcome to Align & Nourish, a space dedicated to aligning and nourishing your body, mind, and soul. Let Alexandra Hawij, a Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic wellness enthusiast, take you on a journey towards holistic well-being. Alexandra offers a range of services, including regular classes, personalised 1:1 sessions in person or online, wellness retreats, and events throughout New Zealand.
For Alexandra, yoga is more than just physical exercise. It is a practise that aims to build strength, awareness, and harmony in both the mind and body. Rooted in the principles of movement, breath, and meditation, yoga has the power to transform and heal. Alexandra's love for yoga began in 2016 when she experienced loss and grief.
Searching for solace and balance, she attended her first yoga class and found solace on her mat. Through asana (yoga poses) and meditation, she discovered a newfound stability that helped her navigate life's challenges with ease.
In addition to her yoga practise, Alexandra follows an Ayurvedic lifestyle, a natural system of medicine originating from India. Ayurveda revolves around the five elements of nature, and it emphasises living in harmony with the seasons, aligning sleep with the sun and moon cycle, and timing meals with the circadian rhythm. It encompasses various aspects such as nutrition, self-care practises, herbs and spices, mental wellness, and massage. Alexandra believes that Ayurveda provides the knowledge to prevent and eliminate the root causes of disease.
At Align & Nourish, you can expect a range of yoga styles, including Hatha, Tantric Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. Alexandra's studio, located in Waiotahe, Bay of Plenty, is the perfect space to explore these different yoga practises. Whether you are a beginner or experienced yogi, Alexandra welcomes you to join her on the mat.
Experience the transformative power of yoga with Alexandra as your private instructor. Through personalised Sadhana (yoga practise), tailored to your specific needs, you can deepen your yoga practise and gain a stronger foundation. Whether you want to focus on specific areas of the body, strengthen your home practise, or gain a deeper understanding of yoga as a whole, Alexandra will guide you every step of the way. Each session includes asanas, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation.
Sessions can be held in a private space at Ali's home, a location of your choice, or online. Group sessions are also available upon request.
