James, our dedicated organiser at AZ Self Defence, wanted to share a quick update with the sports community. Located in London, AZ Self Defence offers a range of classes for individuals and groups. The star of the show is our head instructor, who brings over 20 years of security experience and has been practising martial arts since he was 18.

The techniques we teach aren’t just theoretical – they’ve been tested in real situations. Some of them even feature on the Aikidoflow YouTube channel, demonstrating their simplicity and effectiveness. We offer a variety of classes, including female-only, mixed, and corporate sessions.

A key feature at AZ Self Defence is the supportive environment we create, especially for female students. Women can train comfortably, practising techniques directly on our head instructor. He’s a hefty 6ft 2in and 120 kg, so if the techniques work on him, they’ll work on anyone.

Whether you're a beginner or someone looking for private lessons, James and our head instructor have you covered. No booking is needed for group classes – just turn up and train! Private lessons are available starting at £80 per hour, with discounts for multiple people. These lessons can take place in various locations – parks, gardens, or indoor spaces.

For corporate clients and large groups, we offer tailored classes, with competitive rates. Our head instructor has travelled all over London to teach self-defence at different venues.

We operate from the Moberly Sports Centre, 25 Chamberlayne Road, Kensal Green, London NW10 3NB. Classes are £10 per session or £30 per month via standing order. Though the dojo is temporarily closed, you can still reach out to us for more info at 07956636739 or azselfdefence@gmail.com.
