Berwick & Borders Yoga, located in the picturesque area of Berwick-upon-Tweed in North Northumberland, offers authentic and sociable yoga classes for individuals of all skill levels. The founder and instructor, Trood Morrison, brings a passion for Hatha and Flow yoga to create a welcoming and genuine environment for students to practise and grow.
At Berwick & Borders Yoga, Trood emphasises that yoga is not just about poses or asanas, but a comprehensive discipline that incorporates breathwork, meditation, and self-study. By integrating these practises, students can experience a wide range of benefits beyond physical fitness. Yoga can enhance sleep quality, improve concentration, expand lung capacity, aid digestion, and promote a relaxed nervous system. Additionally, yoga provides an opportunity for personal reflection and understanding, helping individuals recognise and overcome self-sabotaging behaviours.
By joining Berwick & Borders Yoga, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in traditional and authentic Hatha yoga in a purposefully designed studio. Classes are typically 60 or 90 minutes long, allowing for ample time to fully engage in the practise. While the sessions are challenging, the atmosphere is fun and friendly, fostering a sense of community among participants.
Berwick & Borders Yoga believes that yoga is much more than just an exercise class; it is a way to reconnect with oneself and a higher purpose. Trood invites individuals to experience the true essence of yoga and create a sense of belonging in a fast-paced world.
Please note that classes are held in various locations, including a dedicated studio in Berwick-upon-Tweed, with exceptions for Etal and Coldstream classes.
