At BIGBANG studio, we proudly acknowledge the traditional owners of the land, the Wurundjeri-willam and Merri Merri people of the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and celebrate the wisdom and cultural richness of the oldest living culture on Earth.
Our 140m2 wooden sprung floor is perfect for dance rehearsals and performances. The mirrored walls, with optional curtains, create a versatile space that can be tailored to suit your artistic needs. We provide a PA system, multiple lighting states, and chairs to ensure your events run smoothly. Additionally, we offer a paper cyclorama and projector for hire, allowing you to enhance your presentations and performances.
For your convenience, our venue equipment, management, and a 30-minute site visit are included in the affordable hourly rate of $99 (including GST). We also offer discounts for repeat bookings. Our venue is accessible, with free undercover and on-street parking available. The studio features a 6-metre high ceiling, a 3.
9-metre high roller door for diffused natural light, and acoustically treated insulated ceilings for a semi-soundproof environment. Our 500/500 fibre optic Wi-Fi ensures ridiculously fast internet access, and we provide 32Amp 3 phase power for all your technical needs.
Cooling and heating are taken care of by our solar-powered system, which promotes sustainability while keeping you comfortable. Our “Green Room” provides a space for makeup, hair, and wardrobe preparations, while the light-filled atrium serves as the perfect entry and reception area. Additionally, we offer a kitchenette with a coffee machine and a fridge for your refreshment needs. Two all-gender bathrooms, one of which is DDA approved, ensure accessibility for everyone.
We also provide a work table and clothes rack on wheels for added convenience.
Apart from our art and dance facilities, we also offer co-working desk spaces in a 150m2 open studio. With stunning views of Merri Creek, our space offers a great vibe for creative individuals. The 10 bespoke adjustable desks are perfect for focused work. The studio is shared with local professional creatives, fostering a collaborative environment.
Amenities include a shared kitchenette, meeting table, and a 30m deck. Solar-powered heating and air conditioning keep the space comfortable year-round, while our superfast 500/500 fibre optic internet ensures seamless connectivity. A networked B&W laser printer/scanner and 24/7 secure electronic access are also available.
