The studio classes take place in warm and clean studios, while the live-streamed classes allow individuals to participate from their own homes. The instructors guide participants through a series of exercises using small pilates equipment, which can be improvised for those joining from home. The chance of injury is significantly lower with pilates compared to other forms of exercise, making it a safe option for all.
Pilates is scientifically proven to build strength in the core muscles, improve posture, balance, and flexibility. Newcomers to pilates are provided with a link to a free introductory video that covers the basics of pilates before joining a class. All necessary equipment is provided, except for a head cushion or pillow.
Attendance is booked for the same class on the same day each week for a designated block of 5–6 weeks.
Live-streamed classes cost NZD 5 per 50-minute class and are led by highly experienced pilates instructors. There is no commitment to attend, and no prior booking is required. To join a live-streamed class, individuals simply need to call the clinic and make an initial payment of NZD 20. A link to a free introductory video is then sent to them for reference.
