Bridge of Allan Bowling Club

The club had a waiting list, we still have a strong and dedicated group of members who work hard to keep the club thriving. We invite bowlers of all abilities and ages to join us and be part of our friendly and welcoming community.

During the outdoor bowling season, which runs from April to September, members can enjoy a range of social and competitive games. They have the opportunity to participate in internal singles and team games, as well as friendly matches against other clubs from Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire.

But our club isn't just open during the summer months. We also offer activities during winter. Every Wednesday night, we have carpet bowls, and on Fridays, we have social games. This ensures that our members can continue to enjoy their love for the sport all year round.

Bridge of Allan Bowling Club is proud to be more than just a bowling club. We host live entertainment specials throughout the year, making it a hub of social activity. Our Friday nights and other selected days are dedicated to bringing the community together in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

The club was founded in 1860 and has a rich history in the local area. We moved to our current location on 57 Fountain Road in the early 1900s. Over the years, our club has grown and developed, producing talented bowlers who have represented not only the Stirlingshire West County team but also won Scottish championships and represented their country on the international stage.

At Bridge of Allan Bowling Club, our members are the heart and soul of the club. We encourage all members to take an active part in the club's activities, from friendly matches to internal competitions. Our “family-friendly” approach ensures that everyone is welcomed and treated equally, regardless of their skill level or experience.
