Browns Bay Bowling Club

Browns Bay Bowling Club, established in 1943, is a sports club located in Auckland, New Zealand. With a rich history and a dedicated group of players, the club has earned numerous National and Centre titles over the years and continues to compete in major events.

The club prides itself on being active and inclusive, catering to a wide range of players and events. It hosts many North Harbour events, Club Champs, Roll-up Bowls, and even Indoor bowls. The club's facilities include three grass greens and one carpet green, allowing for year-round play. After a long day on the greens, players can relax in the fully licenced bar, offering a variety of beverages to quench their thirst.

In addition to the bar, the club features a lounge area with a snooker table, two pool tables, and dart boards for players to enjoy. A fully equipped kitchen allows the club to cater for functions of up to 250 people in the main building and up to 60 people in the smaller Pavilion venue. The club also hosts a big business league competition in the summer, sponsored by Harcourts Cooper & Co, and offers catering services for corporate functions throughout the year.

Browns Bay Bowling Club is committed to supporting players of all skill levels. Local coaches are available to guide newcomers and help them navigate the wonderful and competitive world of bowls. Among the club's notable events is the Fairview & Settlers 2023 Ham Tournament, held annually with the generous support of sponsors Fairview & Settlers lifestyle villages. The tournament brings together 32 teams competing for 64 hams, with prizes awarded to the top six teams, as well as random teams, skips, 3rd's, 2nd's, leads, and raffle winners. The tournament is a highlight of the club's calendar, with photos of the winning team and other memorable moments available in the gallery.

The club also recently held the BNH CoC 1-5 year singles 2023, with Craig Lane emerging as the winner. This victory showcases the talent and dedication of the club's members in both local and regional competitions.

Browns Bay Bowling Club is proud to have Wendy Treadwell as the sponsor of its pre-Christmas event for Harcourts Business House Bowls. The event serves as a warm-up for the main competition, providing both experienced players and newcomers with an opportunity to participate. The club looks forward to hosting the main competition starting in January 2024.
