Calgary Fencing Club

The Calgary Fencing Club is a long-standing fencing institution in Calgary, with over 60 years of experience in teaching Olympic sport fencing. As a non-for-profit organization, the club's mission is to provide fencing lessons for individuals of all ages in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Located inside the Vecova Recreation Centre on 32 Ave NW, right across from the University of Calgary, the club boasts a spacious facility with high ceilings and quality wood flooring on 8 full-length strips.

The Calgary Fencing Club offers a range of classes and programs for beginners and experienced fencers alike. Beginner classes are held regularly, with the next session starting in April and registration currently open. These 6-week courses are priced at $150 and include all necessary equipment. For those who are already familiar with the sport, regular classes are offered from Monday to Thursday evenings, with additional summer classes on Thursdays.
