Season's kicked off, and now the club's got primary school teams too.
Mission
CJRS, led by the crew in Cambridge, is all about giving junior rugby players a fun and safe environment. They’re here to spark a love for the game and help everyone get better at their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Coaching and Refereeing
Chris and the team at CJRS appreciate all the coaches out there. They provide resources for schools and individuals to help coaches improve and handle any bumps along the way. Every year, they host a small-blacks coaches course with the Waikato Rugby Development Officers before the season gets rolling. Plus, there's a referee course for anyone reffing games from 8th grade upwards.
Accolades and Recognition
CJRS is proud of their achievements and community impact. They nabbed the Waikato Rugby Club of the Year in 2012 and the Waikato Junior Rugby Coach of the Year. In 2013, they won the Sport and Leisure Waipa Trustpower Volunteer awards for the region.
