He then attended the first-ever equitation school in Thomastown, where he received a first in the certificated Irish horse production. Paddy furthered his education by winning a scholarship to train at Iris Kellett's legendary riding school in Dublin.
He also worked with renowned horse producer and judge Michael Leonard from Newcastle.
Paddy's extensive experience led him to manage, travel, and compete young horses for Robert Smith in England. He also spent time in America, working on the Grand Prix circuit with Jeffery Welles and his team. Paddy had the opportunity to work with esteemed horsemen such as Rodney Jenkins, Michael Matzs, and George Morris.
