Cheshire Swing Cats offers a range of dance styles within the swing dance genre, including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Solo Jazz, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, and Blues. Through these classes, students have the opportunity to explore different styles and broaden their knowledge of swing dance history and culture.

The dance classes are held at the Hoole Community Centre in Chester every Sunday evening. The Foundation class, suitable for complete beginners, takes place from 7pm to 7:45pm, followed by a practise session from 7:45pm to 8pm. The Swing + class, designed for improvers and more advanced dancers, runs from 8pm to 8:45pm. The cost for each class is 5, with the option of attending the Swing + class for free if one has participated in the Foundation class.

Cheshire Swing Cats values the safety and well-being of its members. With the ongoing pandemic, the school has implemented measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all dancers. Cashless transactions are now in place, with card payments accepted at the door. The school kindly asks members to refrain from attending if they are feeling unwell, in order to prioritise the health of the community.

The partnered nature of swing dance necessitates rotating partners during class; therefore, the school emphasises the importance of looking after each other and adhering to the code of conduct.
