Deborah opened Clayton School of Dance & Performing Arts in Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire in 2001. As the principal, she uses her extensive knowledge and experience to offer top-quality dance education to students of all ages and abilities.
At Clayton School of Dance & Performing Arts, the goal is not just to teach dance steps. The school focuses on fostering a love for dance while imparting skills like coordination, rhythm, self-discipline, self-confidence, and social skills. The friendly environment encourages students to express themselves and explore their creativity.
The studio offers a variety of classes for different interests and age groups. From ballet, jazz, tap dance, modern dance, street dance, to musical theatre, there is something for everyone. Classes are also available in Pilates, Zumba fitness, and yoga for those looking to stay fit. Tiny tots sessions cater to children as young as 2, and there are adult classes in tap, Pilates, and FitSteps.
Students can opt to take exams with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I. S. T. D) and Royal Academy of Dance (R. A. D), but it’s not compulsory. The school boasts a 100% pass rate, reflecting its high standards. Whether aiming for a professional dance career or enjoying dance as a hobby, Clayton School provides the guidance needed to achieve those goals.
