Cockermouth Adventures is a family business operated by Andy and Chris Brown, a father and son duo who have a deep passion for all things wilderness and adventure. With over 40 years of experience, they have been providing thrilling outdoor adventures both in the UK and across the world. Chris, an avid outdoorsman, has been leading people on adventures in the Lake District for over a decade. He is qualified through Mountain Training UK as a Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor. In addition, Chris has worked as a guide for ghyllscrambling, canyoning, and rafting across the globe, including destinations such as New Zealand and the Austrian Alps. He holds qualifications from the ICO Pro (International Canyoning Organisation for Professionals) and the International Rafting Federation.

During winters, Chris can be found in St. Anton, Austria, where he works as a Ski Guide and Manager with Kaluma Ski.

Andy, on the other hand, has been helping people make the most of the outdoors for over 40 years. He has organised trips in the mountains of the Lake District and has travelled extensively to countries such as Norway, Canada, and Greenland. Andy has been delivering Mountain Training courses since 1982, training and assessing teachers, youth workers, and aspiring outdoor industry instructors. His qualifications include Teaching, Ski Instructing, and Sailing.

He is a WMCI (Winter Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor) and an IML (International Mountain Leader).

The beloved Eva is an essential part of the Cockermouth Adventures team. As the ultimate adventure dog, she provides help and support in her own special way. Eva has been a member of the team since Christmas Eve 2010 and loves nothing more than accompanying the team on mountain expeditions. She holds qualifications through the international framework for woofing adventure dogs.
