Combined Self Defence Jeet Kune Do & Self Defence is a martial arts school located in Carterton, New Zealand. They offer both Tae Kwon-Do classes and adult self-defence training. The school has a traditional Tae Kwon-Do Martial Arts programme, with a Junior programme for ages 4-11 and an Adult and Teen class that covers the full Tae Kwon-Do syllabus.
Tae Kwon-Do is an ancient form of unarmed combat that originated in the Orient and became perfected in its present form in Korea. It involves the skilled application of punches, kicks, blocks, dodges, and interceptions to swiftly defeat opponents. Combined Self Defence Tae Kwon-Do was established in 2015. The instructors are highly qualified and experienced, with expertise in teaching mixed classes that include children and disabled individuals. They have students as young as four years old, and even one member who achieved their Black belt on their 70th birthday.
The school emphasises fun and fitness at an early age, often working with local schools and charities to teach life skills. Tae Kwon-Do training not only improves physical fitness and flexibility but also mental discipline.
