Core Hockey

Core Hockey is a prominent hockey club located in Fort William First Nation, Thunder Bay, Ontario. The club offers a range of programs and camps designed to enhance players' skills and passion for the game of hockey. All camps and programs are held at the Fort William First Nations Arena, providing a convenient and familiar setting for players and families.

The lead instructors at Core Hockey have extensive experience in the game, including playing minor, junior, college, and professional hockey in North America and overseas. With over 17 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, and advising, the instructors are dedicated to providing quality guidance and support to all participants.

Core Hockey offers a variety of programs throughout the year, including winter training camps, spring programs, and cross-ice programs. These programs are specifically designed to focus on individual skill sets and push each player to work at a high tempo. Participants engage in challenging practice sessions that further develop fundamental skills such as skating, puck control, passing, and shooting.

During uncertain times, Core Hockey remains committed to prioritizing the health and safety of its families and community. The club follows recommendations and guidelines set forth by local, provincial, and national governing bodies and health agencies to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. When the time is right, Core Hockey is prepared to resume operations and hit the ground running to continue teaching the sport that everyone loves.

Registration for Core Hockey's programs is open, including the traditional March Training Camp and the April/May Cross-Ice Program. By attending these programs in combination, players have the opportunity to work on a variety of skills and enhance their overall performance on the ice. Core Hockey is dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging environment for players of all skill levels to improve their hockey abilities and foster a love for the game.
