The owner and head coach of CrossFit Shire is Ross Crossbie. Originally from Dublin, Ross has been in the fitness industry for over 11 years. As a Level 1 CrossFit trainer and Advanced Level 4 Personal Trainer, Ross brings a wealth of experience to the gym. He has coached individuals from various backgrounds and fitness levels, including athletes, teenagers, pregnant women, and individuals over 60 years old.
Ross discovered CrossFit in 2015 and was immediately hooked on the methodology and sense of community. His goal as head coach is to help people become physically and mentally stronger, gain confidence, and lead healthier and happier lives. He takes pride in helping clients achieve what they never thought was possible, whether it's completing a challenging workout or mastering a specific movement.
CrossFit Shire offers a variety of training options to suit your needs. If you are new to CrossFit, you will need to complete a fundamentals course. This course, led by Ross and the CrossFit Shire coaches, will teach you the theory and basic movements behind CrossFit and help you move safely and efficiently. Once you have completed the fundamentals course, you can participate in the Workout Of the Day (WOD) classes.
These classes feature a different workout each day and are scaled and modified to suit your individual level. The focus is on moving well, maintaining good form and technique.
For a more personalised approach, CrossFit Shire offers one-to-one personal training sessions with Ross Crosbie.
