Cutting Edge Fencing

In Kingston! Cutting Edge Fencing, established in 2003, is the top fencing club in the region, offering programs for all ages in the best-equipped full-time facility. Initially focused on youth development, Cutting Edge has grown to be Kingston's top fencing club, affiliated with the Royal Military College of Canada Fencing Program.

From our Mini-Musketeers program to Advanced Competitive athletes, Cutting Edge caters to fencers at all stages of development. Our athletes have achieved success at provincial competitions and international events, with several representing Canada at World Championships and the Olympics. Head Coach David Howes, a former senior national team coach, leads a highly qualified coaching staff dedicated to providing the best training in a safe, fun environment.

Our facility at RMC's historic “Old Gym” boasts 14 fencing pistes, a strength & conditioning area, video replay systems, and modern training equipment, making it one of the top facilities in the country. Parents can enjoy watching from the viewing area while fencers train below. Cutting Edge Fencing is also a Regional Community Development Centre, offering outreach programs to schools.
