At Dalton Leisure Centre, swimming enthusiasts can take advantage of the public pool, adhering to a detailed timetable of sessions available on the centre's website. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, stringent safety measures have been put in place: visitors are requested to arrive “beach ready” and to have showered at home. Attendees should queue outside until their allocated timeslot and report to reception for further instructions. The centre boasts newly constructed changing cubicles and plastic baskets for visitor convenience.

Besides swimming, Dalton Leisure Centre offers a range of fitness classes and sessions. The latest fitness timetable can also be found online, with advance booking and payment by telephone recommended. Contactless card payments are preferred at reception, though cash is accepted as a last resort. Note that water fountains are temporarily out of use due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The gym at Dalton Leisure Centre is equipped with modern facilities accessible to all members. While mask-wearing in the gym is encouraged, it is not mandatory. Squash courts are also available for those who enjoy this energetic sport.

Visitors are reminded not to visit the centre if exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms and are asked to wear face coverings in the reception area, the swimming pool waiting area, and when moving to or preparing for classes. Social distancing guidelines and directional signage must be observed throughout the centre.
