About
In Ulverston, Cumbria, Katie has set up South Lakes Canine Hydrotherapy, a rehabilitation centre featuring a swimming pool for dogs of all sizes. Katie offers therapeutic hydrotherapy sessions, providing essential recovery support for dogs post-surgery or injury by allowing full movement without joint stress.
One standout feature of South Lakes is the heated hydrotherapy pool, where water pressure and buoyancy create a therapeutic effect. The water in the pool is treated with ultraviolet light to ensure a clean and hygienic environment, neutralising bacteria and viruses.
Katie, an experienced Chesapeake Bay Retriever owner, was inspired by her dogs' love of water and swimming to create this centre. The pool measures 6 metres long, 3.5 metres wide, and 1.2 metres deep, making it perfect for any dog. Constructed with Paneltim, the pool is easy to clean, ecological, and well-insulated.
South Lakes is a proud member of NARCH (National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists), ensuring the highest care standards. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. To book a session, contact them at 07873 320479 or email info@southlakescaninehydrotherapy.co.uk.
With Katie's expertise and dedication, South Lakes Canine Hydrotherapy offers a safe and effective space for dogs to receive top-notch hydrotherapy treatment in Ulverston.
