Dance in Class

Dance in Class is a vibrant dance school located in Wigan. They offer a wide range of dance classes for both children and adults in three convenient locations: Ashton, Garswood, and Wigan. The school is also a member of the Allied Association, ensuring high-quality teaching and professional standards.

For beginners, Dance in Class offers Ballroom and Latin American courses. These classes provide an introduction to the basics of Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, and Samba. Once students have graduated from the beginners class, they can progress to the Next Steps class, where they will improve their dancing skills and complete routines for each dance genre.

For confident dancers looking for new routines, Dance in Class offers the Improver & Intermediate Ballroom and Latin American class. This class includes new routines and occasional sequence dances. DanceFit is another popular class offered by Dance in Class, which combines Ballroom and Latin American steps choreographed to give participants a fun and fantastic workout. No partner is needed for this class.

Children aged 5 to 15 can also join the Children's Ballroom and Latin American class. This class allows children to have fun, keep active, and learn all 10 Ballroom and Latin American dances, along with additional fun dances.

Dance in Class also offers workshops on selected dates, focusing on various dance styles such as Rock 'n' Roll, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Viennese Waltz, and Paso Doble. Dance in Class is run by Principal Chris Eaton, who has over 40 years of experience in dancing. Chris began dancing at the age of 16 and has taken all her medal tests in Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence, and Disco. After taking a break to raise her children, Chris returned to dancing and eventually fulfilled her dream of becoming a qualified dance teacher. She has taught for renowned dance schools and organisations such as Tom Moss MBE, Schools, and Age UK.

Dance in Class is conveniently located in various venues throughout Wigan. Classes are held in Stubshaw Cross Club on Monday evenings, St. Andrews Mission Hall in Garswood on Tuesday evenings, Captains Lane Community Centre on Wednesday mornings, and St. Andrews Mission Hall in Garswood again on Wednesday evenings.

Dance in Class offers various pricing options, including a weekly Practise Social Dance for 4. 00, DanceFit Morning (solo) for 4. 00, DanceFit Evening (solo) for 5. 00, and evening classes for 6.

50. The Intermediate Ballroom, Latin, and Popular Sequence class, which runs for 90 minutes, is priced at 9. 00.
