At Dance in Partners, we believe that dance is a skill that lasts a lifetime, and there are countless reasons for learning to dance. Whether you want to bond with your partner, impress at a 40s event with the Quickstep or Jive, or learn a dance for a special occasion like a wedding, we have the perfect lessons for you.
Our dance classes are held at various venues in Grimsby and Cleethorpes, including St Augustine's Hall (Grimsby), Scartho Community Centre, and St Francis Church Hall (Cleethorpes). In these classes, you can learn a variety of dances such as Cha Cha Cha, Tango, Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba, Samba, sequence dances, and more.
Dancing is not only fun but also a social activity that provides excellent exercise for both the body and mind. Whatever your reasons for wanting to learn to dance, we have something that will suit your needs. In addition to group classes, we also offer private dance tuition in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area.
Let us introduce ourselves. Trudy Germaney, the principal of Dance in Partners, has been dancing since the age of 5. She has extensive experience in Ballroom and Latin dancing, having pursued formal exams and participated in competitions. Trudy's passion lies in Ballroom and Latin dance, although she also has experience in Tap, Stage, and Modern genres.
Becci Brown, Trudy's daughter, started dancing with Stevensons School of Dancing at the age of 7 and has danced ever since. She discovered her love for teaching by helping out with children's classes and dancing with people in need of a partner. Becci finds joy and pride in both her own dancing and seeing others succeed.
As professionals in the field, we are accredited by the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA) and hold CRB checks. Trudy is a member of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and is registered with the Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL). We are also registered sellers on behalf of Supadance International, the pioneer in ballroom and Latin American dance shoes.
