South Windermere Sailing Club is gearing up for an exciting open day on Saturday, May 18th. If you've ever wanted to dip your toes into the world of sailing, this is the perfect opportunity. The club will be offering taster sails as part of the RYA's Discover Sailing initiative.
No need to worry about booking in advance - just show up between 10am and 3pm ready to embark on a sailing adventure. Our friendly club members will be there to guide you through the basics and share their love for the sport. Buoyancy aids will be provided, so all you need to do is dress comfortably and be prepared to potentially get a little wet.
Not only will you get the chance to learn about sailing, but you'll also have the opportunity to shop for some top-quality used sailing gear for both kids and adults. And of course, what's a sailing event without some tasty treats? Light lunches, delicious cakes, and drinks will be available to keep you fueled throughout the day.
