Dragonz Martial Artz Centre, located in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, is a thriving martial arts club that has been serving the community since 2021. Originally established in Toronto in 2001, Dragonz is more than just a school it's a community of caring individuals dedicated to fostering personal growth and physical excellence. The staff at Dragonz are experienced teachers and role models who are comfortable working with students of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
The centre offers a wide range of programs, including karate, taekwondo, and kubudo, as well as after-school care, March break camp, and summer camp. In addition to regular classes, Dragonz hosts special events throughout the year, such as potluck picnics, holiday parties, and family dinners. Family support is considered critical for the development of students, and many events are open to family members, friends, and guests.

Classes are held five days a week and focus on physical fitness, self-defence, and life skills. In addition to regular classes, Dragonz offers an opportunity for students to join the Students Winning Attitude Team (SWAT). This program allows students to become junior leaders within the Dojo, assisting the main class instructor in training classes and demonstrating required moves or stances. The SWAT program is the first step towards becoming a dojo instructor, where students learn how to instruct a class with Master Marvin.
