With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Corey has gained extensive knowledge and skills in various training styles, including hypertrophy, muscle development, strength building, fitness/sports development, power lifting, and obstacle racing.
Corey's journey to becoming a personal trainer began with his own fitness transformation. He was initially known as “skinny” and lived an underprivileged childhood. Wanting to improve his strength and prevent injuries, Corey started attending the gym regularly. After three years of consistent training, Corey gained 15 kilogrammes and became more serious about his fitness journey.
This newfound passion led him to not only improve himself but also to help and coach others to achieve their fitness goals.
After falling in love with the job, Corey decided to establish DVS Personal Training as a way to share his expertise and help others maximise their potential. Throughout the years, Corey has participated in multiple obstacle races, fun runs, American football, and powerlifting meets, including Nationals 2017. He has also achieved six placings in the ICN Victorian Championships for natural bodybuilding. With his wealth of experience and dedication, Corey now focuses on coaching, teaching skills, motivating, and transforming people's lives.
At DVS Personal Training, a variety of services are offered to cater to individuals' needs and preferences. Online coaching is available for those who prefer virtual sessions or live in a different city/town. It involves personalised check-ins over Zoom or FaceTime to assess progress, as well as real-time nutrition and exercise programming. Programming is also available for individuals at all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced, to ensure accountability and progress towards their goals.
Additionally, specific programmes are offered for hypertrophy and fat loss, combining resistance training and proper nutrition to build lean muscle mass and trim body fat. For those looking to improve their cardiovascular fitness and conditioning, HITT (High-Intensity Interval Training) and conditioning classes are available. These workouts incorporate free weights, squats, lunges, and other high-intensity exercises tailored to individual body types.
