Eagle Bowman of Bedford is Bedfordshire's top archery club, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for archers of all abilities. We cater to target, field, and clout archery, and support various bow types including olympic recurve, barebow, longbow/flatbow, and compound. Our club values approach, attitude, and a willingness to learn over age or ability, and we never exclude archers based on disability.
We are located at Goldington Academy, Haylands Way, Bedford (MK41 9BX). Our club has access to two full distance sports halls during the indoor season, and a spacious sports field for outdoor shooting. Our outdoor facilities allow us to practise both clout and target shooting. Additionally, we organise COVID-safe sessions at our private field and target range near Cranfield University.

Safeguarding is a top priority at Eagle Bowman of Bedford. We strictly comply with ArcheryGB's safeguarding procedures, and all our coaches and safeguarding officers hold current DBS checks. SupportWe believe in providing support to archers at every level. Our team of coaches is dedicated to helping you achieve your archery goals, whether it's joining county teams or simply becoming a confident archer. Whatever your aspirations may be, we are here to guide and support you throughout your archery journey.
BeginnersIf you're new to archery, we offer beginner courses to get you started on the right path. Our courses, held over four weeks, cover the basics of archery and provide you with the necessary tools to develop your skills as an archer. We have upcoming course dates, subject to local restrictions, so please contact us for more information and to discuss availability. Enrolments can be made via email, Facebook, or phone, and we are happy to accommodate any special requirements.
For archers who have completed the beginners course and want to further enhance their skills, we have practise sessions nearly every Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon. This gives you an opportunity to continue learning and improving your archery abilities. Feel free to pay us a visit and join us during these sessions.
