Ebb & Flow Studio, located in Faulconbridge, is an art and Tai Chi school founded by Kerry-Anne, a highly skilled and knowledgeable Art Teacher. With a focus on fostering a safe, relaxed, and non-judgmental environment, Kerry-Anne creates the perfect space for individuals to learn and practise art.
Kerry-Anne's extensive training includes a Bachelor of Teaching, Fine Arts, Graphic design, and Professional Illustration. She also holds qualifications in Art Therapy and Wellbeing Training, as well as a Counselling Diploma. With her diverse background, Kerry-Anne brings a unique approach to teaching, emphasising the importance of confidence-building alongside artistic skill development.
Starting her career in illustration and design after completing fine arts, Kerry-Anne later diversified her path due to her EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). As a director of various children, family, and community education programmes, she found great fulfilment in teaching art, creative programmes, and life skills. Today, Kerry-Anne offers private lessons at her Ebb & Flow Studio, located in the beautiful Blue Mountains, NSW.
At Ebb & Flow Studio, a range of classes are offered to cater to different age groups and interests. Canvas Painting classes for adults provide an opportunity for retired, semi-retired, or part-time workers to build skills, learn techniques, and foster social connexions. These classes are available on Wednesdays at 10:30 am and Fridays at 7pm, lasting for two hours.
For busy individuals seeking some “me” time, the Adult's Canvas Painting Class is the perfect choice. This class also focuses on teaching techniques for canvas painting while providing a platform for building social networks. It takes place on Fridays at 7pm and lasts for two hours.
The studio also offers a Senior High Visual Arts class for high school students, including those studying towards their Higher School Certificate. This class is open to students in years 8-12 who are exploring a creative career direction. Classes are held on Fridays, starting at either 3:30 pm or 4 pm, and lasting for two hours.
In addition, Ebb & Flow Studio features a unique “Meeting of Minds” class designed for high-functioning adults on the spectrum. This social class aims to build a toolkit for success in areas such as friendships, mindfulness, confidence, positivity, and creativity. It takes place on Wednesdays at 7pm, also lasting for two hours.
To cater to the varying schedules and needs of students, Ebb & Flow Studio follows the public school term, allowing for consistent and convenient class scheduling. In-depth course outlines are available for each class, providing students with a clear understanding of what to expect.
For those interested in Reiki, the studio offers certificate courses for adults. Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 courses provide comprehensive training over two days, allowing participants to delve into the inner teachings of this ancient healing practise. The courses include delicious Japanese lunch and morning tea, adding to the overall experience.
