Floorless Dance Studios

Aryan Coleman, the founder and head choreographer of Floorless Dance Studios in Hastings, New Zealand, has a message for the sports community. Since 2017, Aryan has been dedicated to providing a nurturing environment at the studio, where dancers of all ages and skill levels can explore their passion for dance.

Floorless Dance Studios offers a variety of classes including Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical, and more. The schedule caters to everyone, whether students aim to take exams, compete, or just dance for fun. The studio holds Jazz exams through Jazz Dance NZ and hosts two showcases annually. Competition groups also have chances to compete both locally and out of town.

Aryan believes in the importance of high-quality dance classes that contribute to a child's overall development. Under the guidance of nurturing teachers, students can explore dance in a safe and child-centred environment. Dance training at Floorless helps young people develop a positive self-image and increases their awareness of their physical being. Classes not only improve coordination and muscular awareness but also allow children to express themselves through music.

The studio offers classes for various age groups and interests. Preschoolers can join Preschool Movement classes that focus on developing a love for dancing. Hip Hop classes are high-energy and let students bring their own personality to the movements. Commercial dance covers styles used in performances like concerts and music videos.

For those interested in more technical training, the studio offers Jazz Exam classes for ages 7 and up, following a specific syllabus. Acro classes, focusing on strength, flexibility, and tumbling, are available as an add-on. Lyrical and Contemporary classes are also offered, combining modern and ballet styles for expressive performances.
