Hosted in a warm, dark red-lit room with chilled out backing sounds, the class creates a relaxing atmosphere for participants. The session kicks off with a 12-minute warm-up, incorporating movements from Vinyasa Yoga, Pilates, and Meditation. After the warm-up, participants will dive into learning various pole tricks and how to seamlessly combine them. Over the course of four weeks, participants will work on a specific song and add their own unique twist at the end. The details of this twist will be explained during the first week of class.
The primary aim of the Fly Girls Signature Pole Course is to help participants become free movers and pole tricksters. The focus is on executing tricks smoothly and mastering breath control. The meditative warm-ups also contribute to calming the mind and nervous system, allowing for a deeper connection to the body. This class provides a positive and supportive space where participants can embrace their sensuality and explore their femininity. All females, regardless of body size or athleticism level, are welcome to join. If there are individuals who identify as female but require approval, Crystal, the owner of Fly Girls, will be happy to consider their participation.
To ensure comfort during the class, participants should wear comfortable clothing, with shorts and fitness tops being recommended. While taking off shirts is not mandatory, biceps exposure can be helpful for certain moves. Beginners often opt for bike shorts, as they offer extra coverage for the hips while still allowing for necessary skin contact with the pole. For those with sensitive knees, knee pads are recommended and can be easily purchased from Amazon or sports stores for £15 or less.
