Welcome to Footscray Lions, a junior football club located in Sidcup, New Zealand. Our club is proud to have been named the 2016 FA National Award Winners for CS Development Club of the Year. We offer teams for both girls and boys ranging from under 6 to under 18, as well as ladies and SEN teams. Players of all abilities are welcome to join our club, so please check out our “Players Wanted” page under the “Club Info” tab.
Our mission at Footscray Lions is to encourage the participation, enjoyment, and development of children and young people in football. We strive to provide a safe, enjoyable, challenging, and positive environment for players of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential.
In our latest match report, our under 16 girls team had an exciting game against Welling United Reds, ending in a 2-2 draw. We also have a SEN team that recently received their new FCL kit. Congratulations to them!
We have a wide range of teams within our club, including under 7 development (mixed), girls development squad, under 8 boys, under 9 boys black, and many more. Our teams are constantly participating in matches and tournaments, so be sure to check out our full fixtures and results on our website or club directories.
At Footscray Lions, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community. We recently had a great day at the South London Special League event on November 23rd and would like to thank all our FCL teams, players, coaches, and parents for their support on Remembrance Day.
We are delighted to share news and keep everyone updated along the season with “The Rectory Road Newsletter. ” Additionally, we recently had a Spooky Saturday football event at Baugh Road, where teams from under 7s to under 13s competed in matches and had lots of fun.
