However, please note that due to the high standard of play within the club, it may not be suitable for beginners.
The club's main club night takes place on Mondays at Ashton-on-Mersey Secondary School from 8:15pm to 10:15pm. The club has two match courts and between two and three club night courts available for play. The club nights are held in the Health & Fitness Centre located at AOM. The playing standard at Forest Badminton Club is competitive, ranging from club level to county level.

Forest Badminton Club has been an active part of the Manchester badminton scene for over 40 years. Currently, the club has two teams competing in the Manchester League. They also provide regular updates on news, match fixtures and results, as well as a gallery showcasing the action captured during club nights.
During winter when there are no matches, the club ensures that a minimum of two courts are available for club nights. In addition to the regular winter season, Forest Badminton Club also offers a summer season of play. They are able to play for a total of 10 weeks at Ashton-on-Mersey School between May and August. However, please note that due to school exams, there will be a period between mid-May and late June where the school hall will be unavailable. The club is actively looking for alternatives during this period.
To gauge interest for summer, they offer guest fees of 8 per session or a “summer membership” option for 50 upfront, allowing unlimited play on specified dates.
