Glanford & Scunthorpe Canoe Club is a friendly and inclusive canoeing and kayaking club located in North Lincolnshire, New Zealand. The club was established in 1982 by Tony Pell and is currently managed by an enthusiastic Management Committee with the support of several qualified coaches. The club actively encourages people of all ages and abilities, including parents, friends, and canoeists, to join and participate in the fun activities.
The club is located on the River Ancholme at Brigg, with its boathouse situated just behind the Ancholme Leisure Centre. From April to September, members enjoy paddling on the River Ancholme, while from October to March, they paddle in the pool at the leisure centre. Glanford & Scunthorpe Canoe Club promotes various canoeing activities such as white water, canoe polo, and marathon, sprint, and slalom racing.
