Grey Hiller Tennis in Devonport is a reputable and well-known tennis instructor who has dedicated many years of service to the Devonport Tennis Club. While Grey has retired from coaching, he continues to operate the club. Starting from 1st January 2022, Philippa (Pip) Martin has taken on the role of Head Tennis Coach for the Devonport Tennis Club, with Grey providing guidance during the transition.
Pip is a local to the North West Coast of Tasmania and has a deep connexion to the sport of tennis. As a junior player, she was coached by Grey himself. At only 18 years old, Pip was awarded a Full Tennis Scholarship to the Division 1 University of Nevada, Reno in the USA. After spending 7 years in the US, she returned to Tasmania in 2000, where she married Paul Martin, an American.
Pip's passion for tennis was reignited when her own children developed an interest in the sport. She believes in the importance of keeping children active and helping them discover a sport they truly enjoy. Pip welcomes players of all ages and skill levels to her coaching sessions, making sure to match each individual to the appropriate skill level group for a more enjoyable experience.
