Welcome to Hanwell Karate Club, a dedicated karate school located in Hanwell, West London, UK. While we may not be a full-time dojo with classes every day of the week, we see this as a positive aspect. This means we don't rely on making money to sustain the club, resulting in lower running costs and affordable class fees.
Our primary focus is on serving our local community in Hanwell, W7, and providing effective self-defence training for our students. We are passionate about martial arts and committed to delivering high-quality karate lessons.
Our karate lessons are held three days a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The training venue is St Mary's Church Hall on Greenford Avenue in Hanwell, London (W7).
To ensure manageable payments for our students, fees are collected once per calendar month. As of July 2022, the training fee is 30 per month for adults and 25 per month for children and students. Please note that we do not offer a “Pay as you go” option. However, for new students, the first lesson is free.
Adult training sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings. These sessions focus on basics, kata (form), and sparring. Our adult classes provide an opportunity for individuals aged 18 and over, including cadets, to develop their skills.
For children between 6 and 13 years old, we offer two classes per week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. These classes are held during school term time and cater to different skill levels. On Tuesday evenings, we have a beginners class that focuses on basic self-defence and kata. On Thursday evenings, we teach self-defence, kata, and sparring to children who have been graded with a yellow belt or above.
Please note that we do not teach children's classes on weekends.
The monthly fee for our children's classes is 25, allowing them to attend one to two classes per week.
At Hanwell Karate Club, the safety of our students is of utmost importance. All our instructors are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and we strongly recommend that all adult students prioritise vaccination before attending face-to-face karate classes.
