Huia Road Horse Club

Huia Road Horse Club (HRHC) is an equestrian club and environmental organisation located in the Laingholm/Titirangi/Parau area of Auckland. HRHC is not a riding school or trekking business, but a community-driven club for horse enthusiasts. The club consists of both privately owned horses and horses owned by the club, which are used for community work and educational purposes.

At HRHC, members have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of horse care and ownership. In addition to handling, feeding, and grooming the horses, members, and their families are expected to participate in club events, pasture management, and facility management. This hands-on approach to horse care not only fosters a sense of community but also provides valuable education about horse care.

The club also supports local events, such as the annual Karamatura Farm Day.

If you're looking to experience the joy of horse riding, HRHC offers pony rides on the first Sunday of every month from 3pm to 4pm. The rides cost $5 per ride, and helmets are provided. Suitable footwear is required. The proceeds from these pony rides go towards the care of the horses at HRHC.
