Ivanhoe Archers is a welcoming and friendly archery club located in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, New Zealand. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced archer, of any age, you are warmly invited to join our club. We take pride in creating a great family atmosphere where everyone feels included and supported.
At Ivanhoe Archers, we offer various opportunities for newcomers to experience the sport through our “Have a Go” sessions and beginner courses. These sessions provide a chance for individuals to try archery and learn the basic skills needed to participate in the sport. Our experienced and knowledgeable instructors are always available to provide guidance and share their expertise.
We have a well-established training programme called the Ivanhoe Knights Junior Training Programme. This programme is specifically designed for young archers and provides them with comprehensive training to excel in the sport. We believe in nurturing young talent and providing them with a platform to improve their archery skills.
Our club operates throughout the year, with four shooting sessions per week during the outdoor season (April to September) and two sessions per week during the indoor season (October to March). We shoot on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Friday evenings for juniors and parents, and Sunday mornings. The dedicated archers among us even brave the elements to shoot on snowy fields, making archery a year-round activity for us.
