CAN I JOIN IF I HAVE NO PRIOR FITNESS EXPERIENCE?
Absolutely! Kangatraining is suitable for all fitness levels, from beginners to more experienced exercisers. The instructor, Yolande, will provide modifications and options to cater to individual needs and abilities.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO CLASS?
Yes, please bring a water bottle, comfortable workout clothes, and a towel or mat for floor exercises. You will also need to bring a suitable carrier for your baby, such as an Ergo, Manduca, Beco, Tula, or Mei Tai style carrier. If you do not have one, Manduca carriers are available for hire during each class for a small fee.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN A KANGATRAINING CLASS?
In a Kangatraining class, you can expect a combination of floor exercises incorporating your baby, as well as cardio, dance, and strengthening exercises. The instructor will guide you through a variety of movements and routines, all while wearing your baby in the carrier. The classes are fun, energetic, and designed to help you reconnect with your body and rebuild strength after pregnancy.
CAN I JOIN IF I HAVE ANY POSTNATAL INJURIES?
Yes, Kangatraining is specifically designed to cater to postnatal mums and prioritise their safety and wellbeing. The instructor will provide modifications and focus on strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and addressing any ongoing postnatal injuries, such as diastasis recti. It is recommended to fill in the Kangatraining pre-exercise questionnaire before attending class to ensure proper care and guidance.
