Karori Bowling Club

Karori Bowling Club (KBC) is the go-to spot for lawn bowling enthusiasts in Wellington. Located just a short walk from Karori Mall, it’s the perfect hub for the local community. Over the past three years, Dave and his team have breathed new life into the club, drawing in more members than ever.

With an eight-rink bowling green, the KBC can host up to 64 players at a time. The clubrooms boast a pool table, dart board, snug lounge, and a bar stocked with craft beers, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks at wallet-friendly prices. Members have access to these top-notch facilities all season long.

Looking for a venue for your next bash or work event? Karori Bowling Club offers its greens and clubrooms for hire from early October to mid-April. Just a heads up—November and December are hot bookings, so get in early!

KBC is big on competition, too. Full members can join the Interclub competition, squaring off against teams from other clubs. There’s also the fun Mates in Bowls (MiB) social comp held each February and March, open to everyone.

The 2023/24 season kicks off on October 1st, running through to April 28th, 2024. Club members can enjoy the greens on specific days, including Wednesday club tournaments, Sunday Club day from 1:30pm, and the MiB comp.

Membership is open to folks of all skill levels. A community membership, giving you access to shared equipment and club-run activities, costs just $99 for the season. Add a partner for another $20. Full membership offers the same perks plus the chance to compete in interclub comps and vote at the AGM.
