Kids Club Bouldering Session

Flashpoint Swansea's Kids Club Bouldering Session is the perfect opportunity for young climbers aged 7–15 years to try out bouldering and explore the benefits of our Kids Club Memberships. These taster sessions are led by experienced coaches who will guide the group through warm-up games, skills coaching, and open climbing on our world-class bouldering wall.

Not only is bouldering a fun activity, but it also helps develop important skills such as agility, balance, coordination, confidence, and problem-solving abilities. Many kids who start bouldering continue the sport as they grow up and acquire abilities that last a lifetime. So if your child is interested in joining a kids' climbing club, this is the perfect opportunity for them!

Each session lasts for 1.5 hours and includes shoe hire. We welcome climbers of all abilities, and the maximum number of participants is limited to 6 to ensure a personalised experience. Our Kids Club Bouldering Session follows the NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme), a nationally recognised program aimed at introducing bouldering to children and helping them progress their skills.

NICAS can even contribute towards the PE GCSE syllabus, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and Scout/Guiding badges! To track your child's progression, you can obtain the NICAS logbook by asking at our reception or the coach running the session. The logbook costs £7.50.

Free parking for two hours is available at Parc Tawe, and by registering your car at our reception, you can receive an additional three hours.

Participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring warm layers, especially during the winter months. Climbing shoes are provided, but we recommend wearing thin socks with them for added comfort. Lockers are available for your convenience, but we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing valuables to the centre.

After an exhilarating climb, you can relax and refuel at our on-site café, which offers a selection of coffee, cake, sandwiches, and soft drinks.
